The Good News Community Kitchen was established in 2015, by an Army Veteran, to rebuild and strengthen communities by fighting hunger one meal at a time. Since opening our doors, we have provided over 16,000 meals to families, 2,300 backpacks and supplies to students of low to moderate income households, provided over 10,000 hygiene hero kits to the unsheltered homeless, women and children escaping domestic violence, provided quarterly workforce development workshops to Veterans transitioning back into the civilian sector, launched a S.T.E.M program that provides exposure, representation and social skills to Title I students and paid off an entire senior high school class' student debt.
